I was walking through LAX today and saw this Wheel Of Fortune knockoff. I'm always impressed when a company remembers that viral marketing isn't the be-all, end-all. In fact, I wonder if things like this don't work better because there isn't much competition for space these days. UAL had a wheel that offered prizes. I handed over my boarding pass, had it checked off and then spun the wheel. Prizes included a 20% off booking coupon, Economy Plus upgrade, a free Premier Lane pass (whatever), playing cards....and what I won. A bottle of water.
